Just stopping in to share this super quick - super easy breakfast or snack idea! I was challenged recently to create something that would go well with cinnamon-flavored peanut butter. Well, Star-Shaped Toast it is! I think this is perfect for the winter months ahead, and would be adorable to serve to kids or to serve someone on any special day!
I love Dave's Killer Bread, so I used their GOOD SEED bread, which has actually transformed me from a white bread only type of person to a whole grain toast only kind of girl :) YAY! This is a change I had been wanting to make for years, so that is pretty great. I also love their White Bread Done Right, but I am all for a more whole grain bread now.
To Make Star Shaped Toast
Simply set each piece of bread onto a cutting board, and use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out your shapes. This bread worked well, but be careful not to try to detach the shape too quickly, and just be patient with it :) Toast bread shapes in a toaster oven, then top with a dollop of peanut butter (and jelly would be tasty too!). Enjoy!
