Raspberry Mint Spritzer With Lemon

I found this adorable kitchen towel recently, that just screamed "SUMMER". I loved the little graphic on it so much, I created a new, summer drink recipe around it.

INGREDIENTS

2 - 24 oz. Mason Jars (and Ice)

Cran Raspberry Juice

Sprite or Sprite Zero

Vodka (optional)

Handful of Mint Sprigs, 2 Lemons, Fresh Raspberries, and Short Skewers For Garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Optionally, fill each jar with 1-2 shots of vodka. Fill jars with ice 1/2 -3/4 of the way full. Fill the rest of the jar with half cran-raspberry juice, then top with Sprite.

To Garnish - Poke skewers through 3 raspberries, set on top of glass. Slice lemons, and put them onto your jars. Top with fresh mint, and serve. Mix the mint into the drink for a bit of extra freshness! Enjoy.

How To Make Blooming Candies

I had so much fun creating this project! I was inspired by summer, and all the pretty flowers that are blooming right now! For this recipe, I used silicone brownie molds, so I could fill them with tons of candy. I also used Blue and Vibrant Green Candy Melts. My filler candies were Sixlets, found here. See the list of ingredients below...and have FUN! You can make these in just about any color combo, for special events, holidays, and sporting events.

HERE'S HOW YOU MAKE THEM...

You only need a few simple ingredients! Some Sixlets Candies, candy melts, and a candy mould.

INGREDIENTS (Click Names To Buy)

Vibrant Green Candy Melts - Blue Candy Melts - Filler Candies - Wilton Paintbrushes, Candy/Brownie Molds

1.) Melt your candy melts in 2 separate containers, either in the microwave or in a double boiler method, which I did. I found that using a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup, which held one package of candy melts worked great! Fill a small saucepan with 2-3 inches of water, and pour your melts into the measuring cup. Insert cup into water, heat water over medium of high heat and stir melts frequently until smooth. (See photo below for tips)...

Now you can reveal your surprise candy inside! Just use a sharp kitchen knife, and (very carefully), cut into the candy as if you are cutting a slice of cake.

Polyvore Outfits

I used to play with paper dolls as a kid, and when my dad would bring me to a bookstore, I would choose a book with paper doll cutouts instead of a traditional novel or similar that most people would buy. After I was too old for them, I went on to cutting people and outfit ideas out of magazines. It was fun, my grandma would give me her People magazines (and the tabloid ones, too!), and I would entertain myself for hours creating collages and such. Summer Fun!

I recently tried White Cheddar Skinny Pop, and Hubert's Raspberry Lemonade and I am in love!! They're actually a good combo for summer! I would definitely take this to the park or beach for a summer picnic. The flowers are from my new, favorite place near Carbondale, Chautauqua Bend Flower Farm.

I also love this blanket by Domain, it's super soft and perfect for summer. I grabbed this bag from Sole Society a while back, and it has held up really great.

Those sandals, though! My favorite part of all of this is the Sam Edelman Studded Asbury Sandals. They're comfortable, very chic, and look amazing with everything I have paired them with so far.

L'Oreal Infalliable Makeup

Recently I was asked by L'Oreal to help promote one of their new Infalliable makeup lines that is perfect for summer. It's definitely more challenging keeping your makeup looking fresh when it's hot outside, and this makeup really stays put. I created this Dedicated Board to show you more!

I'm not usually one to wear much makeup, especially the full-coverage kind, but wow, it makes such a difference in my appearance! It's so fun experimenting with different color combinations, and it was also fun learning some makeup application tips from Katie at Fringe The Salon, who is a local salon-owner. She does amazing work and it was a lot of fun working with her.

The tutorial (below), was created by using some of the L'Oreal Infalliable products like foundation, powder, and of course, their Lip Colors. There were so many colors to choose from, and this stuff really stays put! Below you can see some of the content we created for L'Oreal!

When I first learned about this project, I was a bit nervous because my face would be on full display for these. I had no clue how well these photos would turn out thanks to the help from Bobby and Katie at The Fringe Salon. Throughout this project, I also learned that makeup makes such a difference in photos, and this was the perfect project to break me out of my comfort zone.

Social Media Conferences And Blogging Networks

Conferences are the perfect opportunity to learn from other people who really know what they're doing. It is also a great way to "geek out" as I call it and talk to other people who love whatever you love, and also love talking about it as much as you do. There is a plethora of inspiration at these events, and I believe if you want to learn how to blog professionally and have help finding your voice, these are a great place to start! While they can get a bit expensive at times, the conference registration fee and your travel expenses may be able to be used for tax deductions if you are self-employed.

I recently found out about an incredibly awesome Social Media Conference called Create and Cultivate. I am beyond saddened that I cannot join my friend at this event in August, but I do hope there is another one soon. I have also been reaching out to the event coordinators in order to see if I can find more conferences of a similar nature.

CREATE AND CULTIVATE - Wow! This is the conference of all conferences. It looks like they treat their attendees like movie stars! Their past events happened in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, and the upcoming Conference is in Chicago, August 14-15, 2015. Just check out this video if you want to learn more!! ALT SUMMIT - This list wouldn't be complete without including Alt Summit. They hold two events per year, one in Summer (June 2015), and one in Winter (Jan 2016), in Salt Lake city, UT. This seems like it's been on my bucket list for some time now, and I do hope to attend the one in January 2016. This conference seems to have paved the way for talented snd inspiring people to get together and share what they know and love about blogging and social media in general. I believe this would be an unforgettable experience and would be so fun to network with lots of other bloggers and creatives.

GO BLOG SOCIAL - This conference was recently hosted in Kansas City, MO in early April of 2015. It looks like a really great group of people who want to share their stories and knowledge with you. HEART HOME CONFERENCE - This is the first year of this fun conference, and it will be held October 1-3, 2015 in Boston! I can imagine how inspiring this event will be for those who love home design, interior design, and all things social media surrounding the love of making a house a home.

The event welcomes bloggers, designers, and overall lifestyle entrepreneurs to the event. This would make for a fun weekend with friends or that event that Mom and other family would love to join you at!
