So, we made it through 2016, and are looking forward to 2017! I know that the holidays and the end of the year are always a great time to get together with friends and celebrate, but why not carry those fun times into the beginning of the year too?! If you have any leftover ingredients in your fridge, now here is the perfect way to use them up and start fresh. Seriously, any meats (even sliced lunch meats will do) cheeses, fruits, jams, jellies, honey, crackers, pickles, olives, and the like can be thrown together in a pretty presentation to impress guests, or make for a great, fulfilling snack for yourself.
In this cheese and meat platter, I loved adding in a few unexpected ingredients, like whipped honey, strawberry jam, and also a pepper and pear jelly. These were the perfect sweet and spicy compliments to spread on the crackers or sliced French bread.
I adore Gouda Cheese, and so did my guests! Red and green grapes, and an assortment of delicious salamis slices really made this appetizer amazing!
