Read that post, and get the Seaglass Cocktail Recipe here. I promised to reveal my room makeover, inpired by turqupise, and I just LOVE how it turned out. I was so fortunate to be one of the very first people to receive the book, Change Your Home, Change Your Life™ with Color, by Moll Anderson and now it's available at Target stores nationwide and online.
"Using vibrant, beautiful photographs, Moll highlights a fresh, modern approach to creating colorful spaces. Thirteen colors are featured in individual chapters, and each includes simple color solutions, fabulous “Pop of Color” additions, and Moll’s personal color lessons and stories from her designs and life. Guided journal pages will lead you on a journey to explore your own personal connections to color."
Below, you will see the Before and After Transformation, where I started with a very neutral room, with mostly shades of tan, and then added pops of turquoise to enlighten the space! What a difference a little color makes :) Without further ado, I give you my room makeover and one more cocktail recipe! Hope you enjoy!
By adding bright, new pillows, a soft blanket, wall art, a cute lamp, a turquoise table, and also sea glass colored bottles, I was able to add my personal touch in my favorite color family! See what a bit of color can do to change your space with just a little bit of effort? The space is more inviting, and also captivates my eyes, bringing back memories of the ocean, tropical breezes, cool drinks, and a bit of turquoise from the southwest (namely Arizona and New Mexico, in my travel experience).
"From the bright, invigorating aquamarine to the deeper warm tones of teal, turquoise is a modern and refreshing design choice for your home. Turquoise is a French word meaning, "Turkish stone", from gemstones of the same color. This bluish green hue combines the calming effects of green, making it an attractive color choice for interior design".

Above, a photo of turquoise jewelry I found in Sedona, AZ. Below, a page in Anderson's book, showing you a tiny peek of what you will see n every chapter, outlining each color in depth, with room inspirations, lots of bright photos, and recipes. Moll is quite an amazing woman!
This discovery of personal connection to color has definitely encouraged me to look at the colors of my surroundings in a new way. I also noticed that my Instagram account shows lots of pops of turquoise, so I am going to definitely continue to decorate more spaces in my home with variations of the color turquoise.
I also had a blast shopping at Target, it's probably my favorite store to gain inspiration from in nearly every aspect of my home and my life!
And, as you may remember, I was so incredibly inspired by the fact that there was a cocktail recipe provided in the book for every color of the rainbow, so I created one more, from items I sourced locally from my dad's back yard here in Arizona.
